Mayer Bros. 5" x 14" Custom Shop Maple Snare

Here's a very nice 5" (depth) x 14" (diameter) custom snare drum by Mayer Bros. of Los Angeles. The customer who traded it in indicated that it's an 8-ply Keller maple shell. It features 10 aluminum lugs, a Trick throwoff and butt plate (on/off, not the indexed system), and vintage-style snare wires. We installed brand new Remo heads top and bottom.

The date stamp is 2003. The drum is in nice shape considering its age; it looks like new from a very short distance, and should clean up to look even better. There's some very minor corrosion on the hoops and some finish loss on the top of the tension knob of the throwoff (see photo). Everything works as it should and the drum sounds great.
