Vintage A. Zildjian Trans Stamp 15" Hats (764 & 845g)
These are as good as it gets for a jazz drummer! Paper thin, dark, and warm, with just enough bite. Grab these while you can, because they don't come up for sale very often.
The condition is good, especially considering that these cymbals date back to the late '40s to early '50s. The center holes are small (roughly 3/8" diameter) and fairly round. The edges have some rough and wavy spots and minor fleabites, but nothing that should affect longevity. Obviously you should expect stick marks, fingerprints, dirt, grime, oxidation, light scratches and stains, i.e. the works in terms of cosmetic issues.
Both cymbals measure a full 15"; in fact, the 845g cymbal seems to be 1/16" or so oversized. That one exhibits more dirt on its surface, so it may have been used as the top, but as with most pairs of this era, both cymbals work equally well on the top or bottom.
