Ludwig Black Beauty 6.5" x 14" Snare LB417B: B-Stock

This is a factory new "B-Stock" example of the LB417 Black Beauty, 6.5" (depth) x 14" (diameter).  We've examined the shell to ensure that it's in round with no extra holes, and the drum sounds great. 

B-Stock metal shells usually have cosmetic plating issues (often on the shell interior), but this one could pass for first quality.  In fact, it sports a keystone badge instead of the usual cut blue/olive; the only apparent indications that this drum is B-Stock are the label on the box and, of course, the invoice!

Black Beauty

One of the primary reasons Ludwig is "The Most Famous Name On Drums" is the legendary Black Beauty Snare Drum. The drum is constructed of a single sheet of brass that is machine drawn into a seamless beaded shell. However, due to their truly unique and difficult manufacturing process, only a very limited number of Black Beauties are available each year from Ludwig USA.

A true American original, the Black Beauty provides a warm, round metallic tone that is often imitated, but never duplicated.
